Casting
the runes was always a sacred ritual
done before the altar of some god
with lamps, incense and invocations
to the deity, after which the runes
caster would pick three runes. The
ritual also helped to create belief
in the person for whom the runes
were cast.
Runes
can be used in many ways. One simple
method is to pick a single rune
for advice. Or lay them face down
on a table and pick one. In practice
I find one rune usually enough.
It gives you exactly the advice
you need. However there are rune
casts that give you more details.
